Fantastic job, terminus.

Thanks, coco1997. Nice to see you round these parts! I know you like comic books so you might want to give Mike's 'Creed' a go - there's something very comic-book about the show, a touch of Batman but darker.

I think what works best for me with this script is that it manages to be fun whilst taking itself just seriously enough, similar to how I imagined Dalton's third film. The plot (the whole tequila diamonds caper) is Flemingly bizarre, the action is big but not unbelievable and you brought some of that long lost Bondian sexiness back.  Including a detailed cast list always helps to add to the cinematic appeal of the script, as you did with your equally entertaining "Silverknight" script from a couple years ago.

Thanks for the praise! This project has been a long time coming - (as you know) - it's been in gestation and stages of scripting for almost a year now. And it's undergone a lot of changes at the early stages from the original idea of a 'Lost' Roger Moore film - to it becoming a Daniel Craig film and then the villains plot undergoing a complete overhaul. Of course, I'll go into more details on the podcast I'm attempting to do - am not the most technologically minded person you can find.

I like using a cast list for fiction - and have done so for ages. It's something some people don't like, but I find it is always nice to have on hand for the reader as a visual reference - especially if the actor and therefore the character has a distinctive voice.

BTW - I only wrote the treatment to SilverKnight and the script for the Mississippi riverboat sequence, a guy called Tony Black wrote the majority of the rest of the script (and a guy called JT Vaughn wrote some of the Beijing sequence, I believe).

Having been a beta reader and a creative consultant on this script over the past couple months, I can honestly say that it couldn't have turned out better. What began as collection of very raw ideas and musings matured into a solid script that I think could easily get the Bond franchise back on track in a few years' time.

Yep, peoples, coco1997 has been an invaluable asset to the writing of the script - a useful sounding board for both plotline and such delightful random questions as 'What sort of underwear would Bond wear?'. Alongside a couple of other posters, chrisno1 and jameydodger (both who aren't on here, but might pop in) and, of course, Mike Jay himself, coco1997 helped me to shepherd the project along - it couldn't have been brought to fruition without them.

And now he's got the unenviable position of being a sounding board for my ideas for 'Nightshade'.

Wow. I'm REALLY behind on responses.

Admittedly, pretty much the entire first season was us experimenting with different ideas of "what is funny?" since none of us had written comedy before. So most of the eps are hit and miss as we figured out the characters and what formula worked best. Thanks for reading. Sorry for the long delay on responding.

Yeah, this definitely wasn't the episode I would've chosen to come back from a big hiatus on. It does set up the rest of the season (a LOT is going to dovetail from this), but it's not a huge "meet the team" episode.

What we're getting into now is Seraph's perception of the team. I wasn't too interested in telling a story about them being some great saviors (ala the hero-worship in Gotham City for Batman or Metropolis for Superman). These are essentially vigilante killers. What we're doing now is exploring how the city reconciles that one of the best things for it is also one of the worse.

And I went out of my way to NOT have the Radicals be similar to the shooters of Columbine or the Virginia Tech Massacre. Those were sick, deeply disturbed people. These kids weren't. More will come to light in the coming episodes.

Thanks for reading!

Woo! Creed's back! Creed's back! Creed's back!

"After School Special" was a good episode, not spectacular.  I did enjoy the action sequences, they were awesome as always.  The story was a meh pile, though.  Pretty predictable all around.  Hopefully the next episode doesn't seem as bland (relative to the last 10 episodes, mind) as this one does.  I did like the ending, should move the series in a nice direction.

Things I dug:
- The black title page.  Looks neat.
- The Bishop/Lokesh exchange: "So, we're not going in?..." I may have giggled.  Loudly.
- Salome's "You should meet my girl Tanya" line/scene.  Badassery, they name is Salome.
- The ending.

Things I didn't dig so much:
- The Radicals themselves.  They annoyed me bunches.

I give 1.5x1 a B+.

It's back! Discuss 'After School Special' here.

A special thanks to Rob Kenneth for writing the second half of this episode after I got stuck on it.
